11th Mega Balikbayan / OFW 2014 and the 2nd International Travel Festival

Last December 2, I attended a press conference on the 11th Mega Balikbayan / OFW 2014 and the 2nd International Travel Festival at The Blackboard (5th Flr. The Podium)

11th Megabalikbayan OFW Expo (MBOX) will be happening this December 18-20, 2014 at SMX Convention Center.

ASEAN integration, that's the aim of the 11th Megabalikbayan OFW Expo (MBOX).  As the longest running business expo, the event is focus for the preparation of the ASEAN integration in which local businesses will have more opportunities for regional expansion and productivity enhancement. It will showcase the following companies; Franchising, Dealership and Distribution, Health and Beauty, Bank and Finance, Technology and Transportation.

In addition, the 11th Mega Balikbayan OFW Expo (MBOX) will offer back to back event with the 2nd International  Travel Festival (ITF), an event that offers travel sales and incentives from different participating tour operators, hotels, resorts, and venues.

Its aim is to contribute and jumpstart the first quarter travel and tour volume yearly of the country by providing promotion platform to travel and tour agencies, hotel, resorts and related tourism companies.

In addition, the 2nd International Travel Festival (ITF) aims to provide affordabletravel and tour packages to OFWs and Balikbayan that will be coming in the country this December.

As Mr. Orly Ballesteros, COO, Exlink Corporation said, “It’s the best time of the year to invite our balikbayans because this is the time when they come home for the holidays. Maybe they would want to consider going into business, Majority of them go into food business. For OFWs who want to venture into business, we are ready to assist them. Perhaps they would want to spend part of their hard-earned cash into opening up their own business, With the ASEAN integration to go full blast in 2016, the business sector can now engage more in trade within and outside ASEAN to expand their production volume."
